Central Iowa AHEC Now Accepting YES MED Applications

Have you ever wondered what a human heart feels like? Or wanted to learn more about diabetes? This summer, Central Iowa AHEC and Des Moines University are offering ten students the opportunity to participate in Youth Education in Science and Medicine (YES MED) Camp.

YES MED is a week-long camp that provides high school students entering their senior year the opportunity to live the life of a medical student. Participants work with health professionals, faculty and medical students to hone their clinical skills, investigate real-life medical scenarios and learn about the sciences through labs and lectures.
